Trailer Trash Mash: ‘The Hangover Part II’ and ‘Everything Must Go’
Posted by: | CommentsIn this edition of the Trailer Trash Mash we have two films that feature some very funny personalities. One stars Will Ferrell, the other stars Zach Galifinakis and Ed Helms. The movies in question are Everything Must Go and The Hangover Part II. Earlier this week I wrote a post highlighting the first poster for the anticipated sequel — I said the first trailer would be out later in the week, and lo and behold, here it is. Hit the jump to check out The Wolfpack back at it and Will Ferrell in a drama.

Matt’s Review: ‘Megamind’ is an Enjoyable 3D Experience
Posted by: | CommentsGRADE: B+
Squaring off against the comedic juggernaut (HA) Due Date, I have a feeling Megamind will have difficulties coming out on top of the box office this weekend. However, never underestimate a kids movie; this age group will pester their parents to take them to see the “blue man movie,” and “get me popcorn!” (Shut up already!) Whoops, sorry, I veered off topic remembering my childhood begging for treats before a movie. Anyway, while Megamind may not take the box office crown over Due Date, it definitely was the better of the two films. For my thoughts on the Dreamworks animated picture, check out my video review after the jump.
Matts Review: ‘The Other Guys’ is Fun and Funny, But Not Ferrell’s Best
Posted by: | CommentsGRADE: B-
This movie is very similar to Dinner for Schmucks in that it is a comedy featuring a tag team of lead actors who together form the only soluble piece for the entire film. Instead of the comedic duo of Carell and Rudd, The Other Guys features the mostly unfunny Mark Wahlberg and the most often funny Will Ferrell. I am going to try my hardest not to let my disdain for Wahlberg shine through in this review, but I cannot promise anything.
Anchorman Sequel Ready To Go, Waiting for Studio Green-Light
Posted by: | CommentsLast May we reported Will Ferrel discussing the possible Anchorman sequel, where he stated that “everyone is meeting next week to discuss it.” Since then, there hasn’t been any significant developments. Now we have word that the cast (Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christian Applegate, Steve Carell, David Koechner) and co-writer/director Adam McKay, are all on board, but are waiting for the approval from Paramount before proceeding.
Hilarious Motion-Poster for The Other Guys
Posted by: | CommentsThe Other Guys is the newest project from the comedy tag-team of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. The two have brought us some of the most quotable comedies over the last several years (Anchorman, Step Brothers). Their newest film steps it up a notch in the form of an action-buddy cop-comedy starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. The first official motion-poster has just been released on Yahoo!, and it’s pretty damn funny.
I should mention that this poster contains audio that repeats once it ends, it cannot be stopped. So adjust your volume accordingly before reading on.
