Three Awesome New Inception TV Spots, Plus 16 Hi-Res New Pics
Posted by: | CommentsWith the stunning full-length trailer for Inception blowing minds in theaters in front of Iron Man 2, Warner Bros. has also begun airing TV spots for the upcoming summer blockbuster. Completely without warning, spots for the film began airing this weekend during commercial breaks of the NBA playoffs on TNT, ESPN and ABC. With only 30 seconds to sell mainstream audiences, these spots will surely leave NBA fans confused, but also in awe of its brilliant imagrey.
MUST MASH: Academy Award-Winning Short Film, Logorama

The 16-minute short is a cataclysm of thousands of current and former corporate cultural icons, mascots, and logos playing out in a quick and cliché narrative. But when I say cliché, this is a good thing.

Posted by: | CommentsWe haven’t had any legit Inception news in awhile, as Warner Bros, Nolan & Co. have been guarding its secrets impressively. The annual ShoWest cinema exhibition is currently underway in Las Vegas, and Thursday is Warner Bros.’ “Big Picture 2010″ presentation. So you can almost be certain that they will reveal new footage of Inception to “wow” theater exhibitors for the summer blockbuster season, so stay tuned for that. But I’m not that patient. In a video interview with Empire, while promoting Shutter Island in England, Leo discussed the complexity of Inception and its narrative structure.
Through my connections at the Hennepin Theatre Trust, I was lucky enough to grab a beer (actually a few) with filmmaker Rob Perez. Rob has been writing screenplays for years and got his big break back in 2002 with the Josh Hartnett sex-comedy, 40 Days and 40 Nights. Hartnett, a Minnesota native, brought Rob to Minneapolis to give him a taste of the Midwest. Rob then moved to the Twin Cities where he, and Guster front-man Ryan Miller, wrote the screenplay for Perez’ directorial debut film, Nobody.
