‘Revolution’ Trailer Shows a Post-Apocolyptic World Coming to NBC This Fall
Posted by: | CommentsJ.J. Abrams is attached to another disaster show with mysterious elements layered in. His previous credit was the hit show LOST which ran for six seasons on ABC. Now he is backing a series called Revolution, a show set in a drastically different future where humankind no longer possesses the power of electricity after a mysterious incident wipes it all out. The show’s pilot was also directed by Iron Man Director Jon Favreau and looks to feature a decent size budget considering all the VFX involved. Hit the jump to get a look.
‘Shameless’ is Another Showtime Gem You Shouldn’t Miss
Posted by: | CommentsFrom the recommendation of my little brother, I started watching one of Showtime‘s new series last year, Shameless. The second season starts this upcoming weekend, but I caught up on the first season through the wonder of DVR. What’s DVR? Leave now please.
With all the episodes recorded and ready for my viewing pleasure, I plowed through them at an alarming rate. I just started a week ago — considering that, finishing the first season’s 12 episodes is an achievement. I couldn’t stop. The story lines weaved into this show from the various and many interesting characters, both very young and old, kept me wondering what will come next for this low income Chicago family. Hit the jump to hear more about the series, and why I love it so much.
Netflix This: ‘White Collar’
Posted by: | CommentsI was quickly charmed and enticed by the suave con man gone FBI consultant (strictly circumstantial, of course), Neal Caffrey, played by Matt Bomer. USA Network’s White Collar, has been gaining popularity and for good reason. Currently in it’s third season, the show has an undeniable wit, a fabulous cast, and an exciting story line. It brings you into the fantastical realm of the rich and famous who commit crimes ranging from racketeering, bond forgery, art theft, and money laundering. Neal Caffrey and his slick suit are stuck in limbo between a past of plunder and a second chance to set his life straight with the FBI.
Rose Leslie Cast as Ygritte in ‘Game of Thrones’
Posted by: | CommentsNews from beyond the wall, we have a Ygritte (pronounced EYE-grit) for season two of Game of Thrones. Rose Leslie will be playing the rough, yet lovable wildling (via winter-is-coming). Aside from her role as Gwen in PBS‘s Downton Abbey, Leslie has not had a lot of acting experience. She will need to bring a lot of character to the table if she plans on living up to the rambunctious persona of Ygritte. One thing is certain, she is a perfect match as far appearance goes with her natural red hair and freckles, which are the two most prominent traits of Ygritte’s physical description in the books.
