Teaser For ‘The Master’ Has Joaquin Phoenix at His Best
Posted by: | CommentsJoaquin Phoenix hasn’t done a whole lot since his trial and error with his rap career spin-off titled I’m Still Here. Now it seems like he’s back and better than ever with The Master, a drama centered on an intellectual whose own religion begins to catch on in the U.S. and a young drifter who becomes his go-to-guy. The film is written and directed by There Will Be Blood helmer Paul Thomas Anderson. The result looks pretty incredible. Feast your eyes on the trailer for The Master after the jump.
Trailer For Jackie Chan’s Last Action Film ‘Chinese Zodiac’
Posted by: | CommentsJackie Chan has made his last action film. For martial arts movie fans such as myself, that sentence is difficult to read and even harder to type. I’ve been watching Jackie Chan films since I was a little kid. I would punch and kick couch cushions during the action sequences of his movies until I’d be out of breath and asking my mom for water. While his films may not be Oscar worthy, every film was fun and enjoyable. Now the ride must come to an end. Chinese Zodiac will mark the end of Jackie Chan’s Kung-Fu mastery on film. Take a moment and check out the trailer for Chinese Zodiac after the jump.
‘Revolution’ Trailer Shows a Post-Apocolyptic World Coming to NBC This Fall
Posted by: | CommentsJ.J. Abrams is attached to another disaster show with mysterious elements layered in. His previous credit was the hit show LOST which ran for six seasons on ABC. Now he is backing a series called Revolution, a show set in a drastically different future where humankind no longer possesses the power of electricity after a mysterious incident wipes it all out. The show’s pilot was also directed by Iron Man Director Jon Favreau and looks to feature a decent size budget considering all the VFX involved. Hit the jump to get a look.
It’s Ferrell vs. Galifianakis in the Trailer For ‘The Campaign’
Posted by: | CommentsTwo of Hollywood’s biggest names are about to tackle each other in the wrestling ring of politics in this sure-to-be-funny comedy. The Campaign is about two rival politicians (Ferrell & Galifianakis) who are trying to win an election to represent a small district in North Carolina. Cam Brady (Ferrell), who usually runs unopposed, is going for his 5th term in office until the moronic Marty Huggins comes along. DURHERRRRR! Feast your eyes on the trailer after the jump.
Don’t Forget About This 2012 Release Starring Ryan Gosling: ‘Gangster Squad’
Posted by: | CommentsAny movie with Ryan Gosling these days is worth seeing. Put him as a crime fighting gangster alongside some of the biggest and brightest in Hollywood and book seats at this year’s award shows. That’s what Gangster Squad screamed to me when I first watched this trailer. Gosling is just the tip of the iceberg however — Sean Penn stars as a ‘god-like’ crooked kingpin fighting against Josh Brolin and his team of off the radar enforcement in a Los Angeles story based on true events. Director Ruben Fleischer also has re-teamed with the gorgeous and very busy Emma Stone — the pair worked together on Zombieland. If this trailer is any indication, Gangster Squad is going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2012.
Ben Affleck’s ‘Argo’ Trailer Tells a Thrilling True Hostage Story
Posted by: | CommentsBack in 1979, the governments of the United States and Canada joined forces to rescue six U.S. foreign service members who had escaped a hostage takeover at the U.S. Embassy in Iran. The idea was to assist their escape by giving them fake identities as members of a film crew for a fake film called Argo. Capturing this story has been made into a real film and the trailer is ready for your viewing pleasure.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña Police South Central in the ‘End of Watch’ Trailer
Posted by: | CommentsEnd of Watch just popped up on my radar. While neither Jake Gyllenhaal nor Michael Peña are amongst my favorite actors, both are very talented and have successes in certain roles. One thing that really stood out to me from this trailer was how much this pair looks like two regular ‘beat cops’ policing the rough streets of Los Angeles. The trailer really hammers the strong partnership between the pair — the predicament they get themselves into will no doubt test that bond. Hit the jump to see the trailer.
‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Gears Up For Summer With a Second Trailer
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s no secret that The Amazing Spider-Man is one of my most anticipated movies of the Summer, Spidey is one of my favorite superheroes. The Dark Knight Rises is obviously my number one most anticipated for many reasons, most of which includes the two amazing trailers teasing the movie — not to mention an epic prologue. This latest trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man brings more life to the story mixing in plenty of web-slinging action to ready fans for the 3D Summer adventure.
Terry Crews Teases The Trailer For ‘The Expendables 2’
Posted by: | CommentsWhen it comes to films now-a-days, the hype and build up almost has to be bigger than the film itself. You’ve got to tease the shit out of the movie in order to get people in the door to see it. One of the oddest growing marketing phenomenons of late has been trailers for trailers. In my opinion, a very weird marketing tool. We’ll get a series of very short clips from a upcoming trailer in order to get us pumped to see the extended version. A great example would be Prometheus. They released a one minute teaser before releasing the full trailer a couple of weeks later, and that trailer was amazing as I pointed out in a previous post.
We now have another example of a trailer for a trailer with The Expendables 2 with Terry Crews. Hit the jump to check it out.
