Matt’s Review: I Wanted More Out of The Wolfman
Posted by: | CommentsThe Wolfman (B)
This was one of my most anticipated movies of early 2010. After seeing it, I can’t go as far to say this movie disappointed me in the end, but I really wanted more out of it. The Wolfman has plenty to remember for it’s glory, but also suffers from less memorable pieces of mediocrity that hurt the overall value. Boosting the film’s redeem-ability is the stunningly gorgeous and immensely talented Emily Blunt. She stepped up her acting game to the next level to prove her worth in a cast that featured Academy Award Winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award Winner Anthony Hopkins, and the underrated Hugo Weaving.

Well, it’s finally here. After more than a decade of technological development, hard work and eager anticipation, the first full-length trailer for James Cameron’s Avatar has arrived. And, it looks…pretty damn epic. As you may recall from my recap of the Avatar footage screening at Comic-Con last month, people who had attended the Avatar panel and saw the 25 minutes of footage, admitted that it probably won’t make Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson re-examine their lives, but was a pretty stunning spectacle. There are a lot of ground-breaking technologies and filmmaking techniques at play here, which should be influential for other future filmmakers.
