Barrett’s Review: The Losers is a C-Rate Action Movie

The Losers (C-)
Think of every shoot-em-up action movie you’ve ever seen. You’ve got a main character (in this case a team) who experiences a personal tragedy at the beginning of the film, is then exiled and becomes a fugitive. That guy (or girl) then spends the rest of the movie blasting away bad guys in a variety of exotic locations in an attempt to clear his (or her) name and avenge the death(s) of their dearly departed. That pretty much sums up The Losers, the new action movie from Warner Bros. based on the cult comic-book series.
Awesome First Trailer for DC Comics’ The Losers

Think Smokin’ Aces meets the Oceans movies. That’s the feeling I got after watching the first official trailer for The Losers (it even has the same music). The film is the latest adaptation via Warner Bros.’ arsenal of DC comic-book properties. The original Losers comic-book series debuted in the early 70′s and was set during WWII. From 2003-2006 a modernized version of the comic was released from DC which is what this film is based on. A few weeks ago we posted the first trailer for the A-Team movie, which seems to have very similar plot points, but The Losers looks much cooler and more badass.
