Earlier today Josh posted about the unexciting latest poster from The Dark Knight Rises. The poster is essentially a crap Photoshop job barely worth checking out. As Josh put it, there are better fan posters out there than what Warner Bros. gave us earlier today. Despite the ‘meh’ poster leaving us all unimpressed, the crack marketing team for The Dark Knight Rises followed that effort up with six character posters that perfectly embody the tone of the film presented in all the previous trailers/teases/prologue. It is odd to have two posts in one day featuring little more than posters from the same movie, but I couldn’t leave that hack poster as the only representation with these other magnificent works out there. There is no doubt that the hype for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises is building. There has been a lot happening on the marketing front with ESPN’s NBA playoffs and Mountain Dew to name a few. We got another taste yesterday with a brand new poster for the upcoming Batman finale. The Upcoming ‘Lawless’ Reveals An Ensemble of Great Character Posters

Lawless is definitely towards the top of my ‘dying-to-see’ list. Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Shia LaBeouf, Guy Pearce, and Jessica Chastain all serve as reasons why — the setting and the prohibition backdrop also come into play. The trailer for the film grabbed my attention and these gorgeous posters are really working too. I mean, look at Tom Hardy up there. He looks like an icon. The scarlet movie title and the slightly illuminated ember of the cigar pop out in the black & white image. This is an example of stellar graphic design work. For some strange reason, there are two Snow White movies making runs this year. Mirror Mirror is a comedy with Julia Roberts as The Queen and Lily Collins as Snow White. It came out late March and took a nosedive right out of the gate. No surprise because it looked really dumb and half-assed. Snow White And The Huntsman on the other hand has Charlize Theron as The Queen and Kristen Stewart as Snow White — this darker take on the tale looks much better. We spotlighted the trailer for the film in a previous post, but now we have a new clip that features The Queen and The Huntsman discussing the capture of Snow White. Hit the jump to check it out.
Leo Looking Menacing in New Photos From Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’

A couple of weeks ago I posted a couple of set photos from Quentin Tarantino’s new film Django Unchained. Set photos never really reveal a lot about the tone or style of a film, they’re just there to let us know the movie is in production. Today we have our first official photos from the film featuring Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio. Check out the full photos after the jump.
Iron Man vs. Thor in New ‘The Avengers’ Clip

There has been no shortage of footage released to the public for The Avengers. The closer we get to the release date, the more content we get. It’s all building up to a massive payoff that will be released next Friday. It’s hard to think that this movie that we’ve been hearing so much about for the last few years is coming out next Friday.

New ‘The Avengers’ Clip Shows Aliens Taking a Beating

Can’t say it enough. The Avengers marketing team knows how to keep us wanting. In a new clip from Marvel we see Captain America and Thor fighting a mass of aliens. While the clip is short and unrevealing, it does show some pretty sweet action. Hit the jump to see some ass-kickin action.

The amount of The Avengers goodies that we’ve been getting over the last couple of weeks has been awesome. Last week we were treated to an action packed video of Black Widow ’pwning’ some thugs while tied to a chair. This week we get to see Iron Man chatting it up with the main villain Loki. Boy, we sure have been getting all sorts of The Avengers goodies lately. Maybe that’s because the epic superhero film is going to be hitting theatres one month from yesterday. Marvel continues to show its appreciation for the fans by giving us more and more online content to keep our mouths watering.
