Trailer for Woody Allen’s Latest ‘To Rome With Love’
Posted by: | CommentsI’m not the biggest Woody Allen fan, I either love his films or am a little annoyed by them. My favorite is surprisingly the mostly disliked Whatever Works starring Larry David and the stunning Evan Rachel Wood. Maybe I liked it so much because I absolutely crack up simply listening to Larry David speak — and in Whatever Works Larry David plays the role usually filled by Woody Allen. I think the combination of the written work of Woody with the delivery by Larry is dynamite. Of course Midnight in Paris was good, but I didn’t gush over it like others. This latest Allen flick also takes place in a European city, but this time Rome instead of Paris.
Netflix This: ‘Roger Dodger’
Posted by: | CommentsWe haven’t done a Netflix This in a little while, so I wanted to re-hash the popular segment with a fantastic dark comedy titled Roger Dodger. The film features a very young Jesse Eisenberg who heads to New York City to visit his somewhat estranged, smooth-talking, ad exec uncle, Roger; played brilliantly by the criminally under-utilized and under-appreciated Campbell Scott. It’s a truly fascinating film that attempts to completely dissect the relationship between men and women, specifically as it pertains to the philosophy, perception and pursuit of sex.
’30 Minutes Or Less’ Red Band Trailer is Filled With Comedic Stars
Posted by: | CommentsBefore seeing this trailer for the first time I was really unsure what to expect. Eisenberg paired up with the funny Aziz Ansari? Granted I don’t think Ansari is anywhere near the comedic god some claim him to be, but he definitely has his moments of hilarity. I am looking forward to seeing Ansari in a feature length film playing a lead character instead of the smaller or television (Parks & Rec) roles he is accustomed to. Hit the jump to see the no holds barred Red Band trailer.
