We haven’t had any Inception news in the past several weeks worthy of mentioning. I then stumbled on this fantastic video from MovieMoron.com’s The Movie Preview Critic (via NolanFans) that seriously breaks down and analyzes both the Inception trailer, and the film’s potential importance on the future of cinema. I was not aware of The MPC until I found this, and boy am I glad I did. If you have some time and you enjoy this video, check the slate of preview reviews on the Movie Preview Critic website. The dude really knows his stuff and all the videos are very entertaining, informative and thought-provoking. As most of you well know, I’ve been talking about the potential and importance of Inception for a long time now, and The MPC articulates it’s possible ground-breaking ideas and effect of movie studio executives perfectly.

Posted by: | CommentsWarner Bros. has released the first official still photo of Christopher Nolan’s Inception, via the Los Angeles Times. It features Leonardo DiCaprio walking down, what looks like a Japenese corridor, dressed in a swanky Armani suit, holding a hand gun with a VERY LARGE silencer attached. For those who saw the amazing second teaser-trailer, one could speculate that this new still image has a correlation to the scene where Leo is walking through a grimly-lit kitchen, attaching said silencer to said hand gun. Although in that scene he was wearing black leather gloves.

Posted by: | CommentsAfter the eye-popping second teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception hit theaters in front of Sherlock Holmes on Christmas day and then the web on December 28th, I thought I’d have to wait another couple months before hearing any news about the film. Bloggers and fans have been going crazy over the last two weeks speculating and providing theories on what they think Inception will/could be about. That type of mystery hanging over an upcoming blockbuster can drive a movie geek insane. Now, the man behind it all, finally speaks.

Oh what a glorious day this is. After French bootlegged versions of the trailer had been making the internet rounds last week, then were taken down by Warner Bros., the studio has rewarded our patience by debuting the second official teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception in magnificent HD and more importantly, in English, via Apple Trailers. Now I’ve been talking about how insanely epic and badass this film will be over the last six months and this trailer has done nothing but confirm and exceeded that speculation.

Okay, so I know some of you are probably tired of hearing about Inception. Well…too effing bad! My most-anticipated movie of 2010 has received an inordinate amount of in-depth coverage on The Movie Mash and it is going to continue, so DEAL WITH IT! When Warner Bros. released the mind-blowing teaser trailer back in August, they simultaneously launched the film’s official website. On that site was the spinning silver top, featured at the beginning of the teaser. The only thing the site allowed you to do was to move your mouse around which controlled the direction of the spinning top. Over the past week, that top began to wobble. That’s right, WOBBLE! Oooooo.

Inception has been chugging along steadily for just about six months now. Shooting for the Christopher Nolan Sci-Fi action thriller began back in June and has nearly circled the globe during production. The film is set to wrap any day now, but over the last couple weeks, Nolan, Leo & Co. have been filming in Canada and what they’ve reportedly been doing is extremely exciting, but as always, raises significant eye brows.

THE MOVIE MASH IS BACK!!! Thousands of apologizes to all The Movie Mashers. I just started a new job and have been working a lot. Plus this idiot acquaintance of mine, stepped on my laptop, ruining the screen, thus my Photoshop/home computer access has been extremely limited. But I’ve worked out some writing time slots with my roommates that will hopefully allow me to provide you with the best movie analysis on the web at least once a day. So let’s get to it. The “will he?/won’t he?” back-and-forth banter regarding whether or not Christopher Nolan will return to the Batman franchise one last time with a follow-up to The Dark Knight has been going on since TDK first left theaters. The hopeful film-to-be would of course cap off his already legendary superhero trilogy that has forever cemented itself atop the threshold of American cinema. It has been well documented on The Movie Mash for months. Well, now we have “word” that Warner Bros. will wipe the drool away from fanboys everywhere with an announcement on the future of the Batman franchise and Nolan’s involvement in it.

No need to elaborate on my obsession with Christopher Nolan and his upcoming sci-fi thriller Inception, which is currently filming. So let’s get straight to the juice. Nolan, Leo DiCaprio & Co. have been filming all over the world for the past two months. Shooting started in London, moved to Tokyo, then moved to Tangier and now the $200 million blockbuster has officially taken over Hollywood by filming some major action sequences in Los Angeles for the past several weeks. Shooting turned intense over this past weekend as production took over five square blocks of downtown L.A., which included down pouring simulated rain, reported shootouts, car chases and a huge train that was brought into the streets for a massive crash scene. Needless to say, this is ridiculously awesome.

There is no script (that we know of), there has been no announcement by Warner Bros., and yet the rumors surrounding the inevitable third installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise continue to persist. A big reason for this is most definitely because the amazing teaser trailer for Inception that was released a few days ago. Everybody wants a piece of Chris Nolan. First I’ll get the ridiculous out of the way. Megan Fox is NOT going to be cast as Catwoman in Batman 3, despite recent reports confirming that the actress has already been signed to play antagonist Selina Kyle. I honestly don’t know how the London-based gossip rag, The Sun, even cooks up this stuff. Remember a few months back when they claimed that Eddie Murphy had be cast as The Riddler? Yeah, I know.
