As Inception continues it’s phenomenal box-office run and impact on popular culture, fans of Christopher Nolan’s mind-bender are paying homage to the film through various forms of artistic expression. I’m sure many of you have scene Lego re-creations of movies or TV shows in the past, but I’ll bet you’ve never seen one that features zero-gravity. Wired received emails from a couple Inception fans who were so blown away by the film, that they re-created the famous zero-gravity/hallway fight scenes, that will surely become an iconic moment in cinema history, with Legos. While I know it is impossible for every person to appreciate any particular movie, it is quite distressing seeing people bash quality ones. Inception of course has been welcomed by a mostly positive critic and audience reception, but there are still people out there who are going to take their shots just because they can’t let themselves enjoy something liked by the mainstream. We saw very similar treatment to Cameron’s Avatar and also The Dark Knight in 2008. Like I said, I know not everyone is going to love some of these movies like I did, or most critics, or most of the public. I can take someone making legitimate claims on why they didn’t like the movie or shortcomings they felt it featured. But for someone to go out of their way to bash or claim “the movie was terrible, or confusing,” (when all you have to do is clearly pay attention!) is just a ploy to get attention. Well, people talking like this, who should not be left in a small room with me, have my attention. Hit the jump to see this bash on Inception.

My brain; melted. My eyeballs; popped out of their sockets. My heart; ripped apart and then glued back together with an adhesive comprised of unadalterated joy. That is what happened to me for 148 minutes this week when I watched Christopher Nolan’s Inception for the first time. It is without a doubt the best movie of 2010, the best movie of the past 10 years, and IN MY OPINION, the best movie ever made. I know these gushing sentiments may be met with releuctance and skepticism for those of you who have followed my year-long obsession leading up to the release of this film, and for that I apologize. But I am just letting you know that, even with the highest, most ridiculous level of expectations that I had for Inception, Christopher Nolan exceeded them, resulting in the most unforgettable movie experience I’ve ever had.

I’ve been so serious with anticipation for Inception, opening Friday, that I have somewhat lost the fun aspects of looking forward to it, which is why I wanted to share this with you. Over the past couple months, there’s been a slew of re-cut fan trailer mash-ups showcasing the epic “Mind Heist” song by Zack Hemsey from the third Inception trailer, laid over video of various family movies, like this one featuring Pixar’s Up. Today I found this hilarious Inception trailer mash-up featuring the entire audio from the third trailer laid over footage from Team America: World Police, giving birth to the hilarious movie trailer for, Team Inception: Dream Police.

Just stare in wonderment at the picture above because it’s just the tip of the iceberg of things to come. Inception doesn’t open until next Friday, but the film is currently sitting pretty at a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (note that as more reviews come in, that number could change). Today, Warner Bros. lifted the embargo restricting bloggers and critics who attended early media screenings of Inception, from posting their reviews. And from what I’ve seen, we are in for the movie of a lifetime. Words like “Brilliant, “Masterpiece,” “Incredible,” and “Spectacular” are just a tiny portion of the near-perfect, glowing reviews that have surfaced online. I’ve compiled snippets from all of the reviews thus far, to increase your already sky-high anticipation.

Last night lucky viewers of NBC shows were treated to a two-minute “Character Featurette” of Inception that breaks down each player of the film’s dream-heist squad. That featurette was released online today on MSN, and it’s absolutely incredible! You may remember a few weeks ago when we posted the awesome character posters for each actor in the film, featuring: Leonardo DiCaprio as “The Extractor,” Joseph Gordon-Levitt as “The Point Man,” Ellen Page as “The Architect,” Marion Cottilard as “The Shade,” Tom Hardy as “The Forger,” and Cillian Murphy as “The Mark.” The featurette includes A LOT of breathtaking new footage and seems an attempt to provide viewers with a better understanding of the film’s cerebral plot.

With the release date for Inception rapidly approaching, Warner Bros. has begun to hit the promotional trail hard, specifically with a bombardment of thrilling new TV spots airing during the NBA playoffs. Today, a new behind-the-scenes featurette debuted on Yahoo!, that has also been playing during the “First Look” segment at AMC theaters before the previews. The video features interviews with both writer/director Christopher Nolan and star Leonardo DiCaprio talking about the making of the film.

With the stunning third trailer released a couple weeks ago and the slew of awesome TV spots playing during your favorite programs, Warner Bros.’ marketing blitz continues for Christopher Nolan’s Inception, in the form of seven badass new character posters (via Moviefone). This is how movie posters are done, ladies and gentlemen. Take note, Twilight. With such ambiguity and mystery regarding the exact plot of the film and the characters involved, these new posters give us the official title of each character’s role in Hollywood’s first existential heist movie.

With the stunning full-length trailer for Inception blowing minds in theaters in front of Iron Man 2, Warner Bros. has also begun airing TV spots for the upcoming summer blockbuster. Completely without warning, spots for the film began airing this weekend during commercial breaks of the NBA playoffs on TNT, ESPN and ABC. With only 30 seconds to sell mainstream audiences, these spots will surely leave NBA fans confused, but also in awe of its brilliant imagrey.

Why have I been so obsessed with Inception? Why have I continually brought you the smallest of updates about the film over the past year, while simultaneously declaring it THE movie of the year? This is why. This is why I am so incredibly excited for this movie, and it comes in the form of the unbelievable, mind-blowing new trailer. So far, there have been two short, enigmatic teaser trailers that have left us pretty confused and in the dark to what the film is about. The first teaser only showed the tagline “Your Mind Is The Scene Of The Crime” and a brief, gravity-defying fight scene. The second had a few snippets of dialogue and a slew of other awesome imagery, but, again, left us completely clueless about the plot. Now, the third, full-length trailer is showing in theaters on most of the prints for Iron Man 2, but it has also found its way online; and we now know (kind of) what Inception will be about. This is the power of movies my friends, in all its form and glory.
