Star Wars in Glorious Blu-ray Announced for Fall 2011, Deleted ROTJ Scene Unveiled
Posted by: | CommentsDid you feel that? It kind of felt like the ground shook a little. It couldn’t be an earthquake though, becuase I’m in Minneapolis. Oh, I know what it is, it’s a worldwide collective nerdgasm, the likes of which could cause a devastating apocalyptic natural disaster ala The Day After Tomorrow. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. At Star Wars Celebration V over the weekend in Orlando, FL, George Lucas made THE announcement, that the complete Star Wars Saga would be hitting Blu-ray shelves in the fall of 2011. To this point there have been countless re-releases of the Star Wars films, featuring various added scenes, digital re-mastery, etc. But this will be the first time fans will be able to watch the legendary film series in beautiful, crisp, high-definition.
Netflix This: Jennifer’s Body

The film The Boy In The Striped Pajamas is based off the same-titled book of historical fiction written by John Boyne. It is a WWII period piece (which always stimulates my interest) concerning a Nazi officer who moves his family to the countryside so he can oversee the extermination of the Jews in a concentration camp.

Posted by: | CommentsWith today being Tuesday, American consumers can head to their local electronics retailers to seek out the new releases from the media industry. Whether you are looking for music or movies, each Tuesday is sure to bring something new to store shelves. This Tuesday, the 26th of January brings the release of the Fox Searchlight production Whip It, a movie many prematurely sold short because of its seemingly girl power cheesy plot.
