Finally Marvel Fans get more than just a still image of their beloved heroes in action. The upcoming The Avengers, the culmination of six different heroic Marvel Superheroes into one film to save the Earth, looks like it has a lot of potential. Even making one superhero film great is extremely difficult, imagine creating an uber-film with six of them. That has always been my biggest concern, how is the screen going to be big enough for all these headlining characters? I guess we will have to wait until next Summer to truly find out. GRADE: C

The easiest way to describe Captain America: The First Avenger is a cut and paste screenplay trying to hold up a Summer blockbuster. Take a formulaic story about a hero, insert the Captain America tale, and that was this film. It wasn’t a complete disappointment, because it had a lot of scenes that work individually — nice character building moments, some nice action, and funny dialogue. But pieced together as a whole, Captain American: The First Avenger was not a cohesive success.

I absolutely adore this kind of parody. Thinking of ridiculous movie sequels and premises is not far from my mind on a daily basis, so these fake movie posters as apart of Scott Pilgrim vs The World‘s marketing put a big grin on my face today. Empire has the exclusive look (via Collider), featuring five posters from Chris Evan’s character, Lucas Lee’s, ecclectic career as a movie star. Lee is the second of  Ramona’s (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) ”seven evil exes” that Michael Cera’s Scott Pilgrim has to defeat in order to win her heart. Check out the posters after the break.
