We haven’t had any Inception news in the past several weeks worthy of mentioning. I then stumbled on this fantastic video from MovieMoron.com’s The Movie Preview Critic (via NolanFans) that seriously breaks down and analyzes both the Inception trailer, and the film’s potential importance on the future of cinema. I was not aware of The MPC until I found this, and boy am I glad I did. If you have some time and you enjoy this video, check the slate of preview reviews on the Movie Preview Critic website. The dude really knows his stuff and all the videos are very entertaining, informative and thought-provoking. As most of you well know, I’ve been talking about the potential and importance of Inception for a long time now, and The MPC articulates it’s possible ground-breaking ideas and effect of movie studio executives perfectly.

Rob has been writing screenplays for years and got his big break back in 2002 with the Josh Hartnett sex-comedy, 40 Days and 40 Nights. Hartnett, a Minnesota native, brought Rob to Minneapolis to give him a taste of the Midwest. Rob then moved to the Twin Cities where he, and Guster front-man Ryan Miller, wrote the screenplay for Perez’ directorial debut film, Nobody.

Posted by: | CommentsThe 2010 Sundance Film Festival kicks off Thursday, January 21 in Park City Utah, featuring a great slate of low-budget and independent films all vying to get picked up by studios for distribution. One film that I’m particularly interested in is Hesher. The film is writtern and directed by Spencer Susser, who made a splash at Sundance last year with his Zombie short film, I Love You Sarah Jane. The film features an awesome cast including Natalie Portman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rainn Wilson. It really looks like it’s going to be a great, unique story, and JGL is seemingly going all out for his character (see picture above).
