Earlier this week I posted a video interview of Leonardo DiCaprio discussing the complex story structure of Inception (see trailer here), in which the actor claimed the film has “multiple narratives simultaneously”.” What does that mean? I have no clue. Then on Thursday, during the Warner Bros. presentation at the ShoWest convention in Las Vegas, Christopher Nolan came on stage in front of several hundred journalists and theater exhibitors to reveal several minutes of brand new footage for his upcoming mysterious summer blockbuster.

My good friend Josh posted this on my Facebook wall and it’s so good that, I had to share it with you. Most people who create parody trailers try and spoof a single movie. This trailer spoofs all the dramatic films over the years that are seemingly made and released specifically to win Oscars.

Posted by: | CommentsThe 2010 Sundance Film Festival kicks off Thursday, January 21 in Park City Utah, featuring a great slate of low-budget and independent films all vying to get picked up by studios for distribution. One film that I’m particularly interested in is Hesher. The film is writtern and directed by Spencer Susser, who made a splash at Sundance last year with his Zombie short film, I Love You Sarah Jane. The film features an awesome cast including Natalie Portman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rainn Wilson. It really looks like it’s going to be a great, unique story, and JGL is seemingly going all out for his character (see picture above).

Posted by: | CommentsThe 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards is set to air on Sunday Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. (CT) on NBC. The glitter-laced gala event celebrates the best in both film and television and is a fun show to watch for any movie lover. The Globe nominees and winners are decided by an organization called the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, comprised of film and entertainment journalists outside of the United States. This year features a handful of great films and performances that have earned critical acclaim, box-office success or both. Matthew and myself decided to film a video blog discussing this years nominees, who we think will win, as well as who we think should win.
