‘Lawless’ Shows Off Two of Hollywood’s Rising Stars
Posted by: | CommentsJosh posted a set photo from Lawless a few days back, today we get a full length first trailer. I’ve got to say, Lawless just jumped pretty high on my ‘Dying to See List’ from this cast alone. Look at all the big names in this film. Aside from two of the busiest talents in the business, Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain, the film stars Shia LaBeouf, Guy Pearce, and the always fresh Gary Oldman. And it’s about bootlegging liquor in the south during prohibition. Can I buy my tickets now?
New ‘Looper’ Trailer Shows A Unique And Gritty Sci-Fi Flick
Posted by: | CommentsA few days ago, Joseph Gordon Levitt along with Director Rian Johnson posted a few teasers for the trailer of their new film, Looper. Overall, the teasers gave a pretty general synopsis of the film. They didn’t go into any details and didn’t show much footage. Last night the first trailer forLooper finally hit the web. Hit the jump to watch JGL try kill Bruce Willis in Looper.
Aaron Sorkin’s Latest Television Project ‘The Newsroom’ Previews Plenty of Drama
Posted by: | CommentsAaron Sorkin was one of my favorite screenwriters after I finished watching A Few Good Men for the first time. The story is legendary and so is the dialogue. What is one of the most iconic lines in movie history? “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!” The man took home a well deserved Oscar for writing The Social Network, a movie filled with non-stop dialogue that was full of energy and emotion — Sorkin can also thank David Fincher and his team of Oscar-winning editors as well. After writing Moneyball, Sorkin has moved on to writing a television series for HBO called The Newsroom. Hit the jump to get our first look at the original show.
Trailer for Woody Allen’s Latest ‘To Rome With Love’
Posted by: | CommentsI’m not the biggest Woody Allen fan, I either love his films or am a little annoyed by them. My favorite is surprisingly the mostly disliked Whatever Works starring Larry David and the stunning Evan Rachel Wood. Maybe I liked it so much because I absolutely crack up simply listening to Larry David speak — and in Whatever Works Larry David plays the role usually filled by Woody Allen. I think the combination of the written work of Woody with the delivery by Larry is dynamite. Of course Midnight in Paris was good, but I didn’t gush over it like others. This latest Allen flick also takes place in a European city, but this time Rome instead of Paris.
The ‘Ted’ Red-Band Trailer Essentially Has Peter Griffin as a Stuffed Bear
Posted by: | CommentsUpon hearing word about this film I was skeptical — how would a movie like this turn out funny or see any box office success? The idea is not that close to the idea of The Beaver, but it’s not that far off either (a main character strikes up a buddy-buddy friendship with a stuffed animal/puppet). In the one that stars Mel Gibson the concept was much more serious, as Gibson was slowly losing his mind talking to a beaver puppet. In Ted, the stuff bear voiced by Seth MacFarlane was somehow granted actual life. The bear walks, talks, drinks, smokes weed, and even has a job. The bear is a part of society and no one seems to mind — a movie like this could either be really funny, or extremely stupid. We’ll have to wait until July to find out.
‘Total Recall’ Remake Trailer Hits the Web

‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ Trailer Prepares For Time Travel
Posted by: | CommentsWhile I don’t like Mark Duplass as a director, I do like when he is in front of the camera playing Pete on The League. His latest film Safety Not Guaranteed has him in front of the camera again, this time as an aspiring time traveler. He stars alongside the always funny Aubrey Plaza and Jake M. Johnson (New Girl). Hit the jump to check out what looks to be an indie melodrama worth your time.
It’s no secret I adore Jennifer Lawrence. She’s wildly talented (she’s the second youngest woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in her role from Winter’s Bone), she picks worthy projects both indie and blockbuster (see Like Crazy, X-Men: First Class, and The Hunger Games), and as your eyes so easily tell you, she is drop dead gorgeous. While horror really isn’t my thing, I’d spend two hours in a dark theater clutching the arm rests in fright to admire Jennifer Lawrence.
Phenomenal Lego-ized Recreation Trailer for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’
Posted by: | CommentsIt has been All Quiet on the Western Front from Warner Bros. marketing of The Dark Knight Rises for the past few months. Zero. Zip. Nada. NOTHING. The last thing we got was the duely-release of the second trailer and IMAX prologue back in December. It’s been really frustrating and disappointing after the amazing viral campaign that WB rolled out to promote The Dark Knight back in 2007, which engaged fans with games and scavenger hunts for nearly a year leading up to the release of the film. Why So Serious, WB? Anyway, with the lack of TDKR news, it’s nice when fans can generate some awesome content worth sharing, which is why I’m pleased to share this phenomneal recreation of the second TDKR trailer, with Lego animation. Check it out after the break.
