It’s official — Star Wars Episode VII will be filmed in Britain. This shouldn’t be a surprise seeing that all six previous Star Wars films have been partially filmed there, either in studios like Elstree Studios or in the many public parks. Check out the official announcement after the jump.

Uber Amounts Of Jaw Dropping Action Featured in New ‘Pacific Rim’ Trailer

A few months ago the first trailer for Pacific Rim landed online. It showcased some very impressive CG and a lot of action. Now a new, even bigger trailer has surfaced online with more stunning action and a much darker feel. One year later, Meryl Streep also brought out her inner diva and sang for the Broadway adaptation Mamma Mia. Now it appears that the two of them could be working and singing together on Disney’s adaptation of the Broadway musical Into The Woods.

The beginning of the 2013 summer blockbuster season is coming up very shortly. Iron Man 3 kick starts it on May 3rd with other highly anticipated films like Man Of Steel, Elysium and Gravity being released all the way through October. But the film that has just as much to prove as those previously mentioned is the second installment of Star Trek. With a massive built in audience, J.J. Abrams had to show that this new chapter would be bigger and better than the last, and this new trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness shows it.

I think I speak for all of us Star Wars diehards out there when I say “Where the hell has all the news gone?” For the last month, there has really been nothing new revealed about Episode VII or any other upcoming Star Wars film. I’ll get to why there has been very little news recently later on. But in the meantime we finally have somewhat of an update on how things are going with the new Star Wars films at CinemaCon.
