‘Nutcracker 3D’ Movie Trailer

Posted by: | Comments (2)

Last year my roommate and I decorated our apartment for Christmas the day after Halloween and I fell in love with dance at the age of five so naturally, I was thrilled to hear about the Nutcracker 3D. After watching the trailer, however, I felt incredibly disappointed. The film, based on the classical ballet by Marius Petipa and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, appears to lack one important element: dance.

It’s time to come clean. After first admitting my newest obsession to my friends on Facebook and receiving a shockingly positive response, I decided that it’s time for Movie Mash fans to know as well. Jon & Kate Plus 8 (now Kate Plus 8) provides hours of shamefully endless entertainment. I’m hooked.

Gabriela Cedillo, a 24-year-old Chicago bank teller, was thrilled to appear as an extra in Transformers 3 until she suffered a serious injury on set. Posted by: | Comments (2)

The following five films consist of Meg’s best work, pre-plastic of course.

Jackass 3D Trailer

Posted by: | Comments (0)

The last time I watched Jackass, I was wearing DC skateboard shoes and five pounds of black eyeliner during the skater-chick style disaster of junior high. Simple Plan and Sum 41 blasted their hits on the radio while Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the gang ate gold fish, snorted wasabi and showed off self-inflicted paper cuts. Apparently, the good old days are back. Last year, the crew announced that the third Jackass would follow the 3D craze (read Barrett’s article on 3D movies). Now the trailer has been released. The film looks like it will follow in the footsteps of the many disturbing feats that came before it. The boys will slingshot porta potties, dress up like gorillas and basically gain as many injuries as humanly possible.

Over the past decade, we’ve watched Christina Aguilera transform from a teeny-bopper to a talented, and often risque, legend. With the exception of a few TV show appearances here and there, Aguilera has stuck with music over the years, relying on her killer voice. Now with Burlesque, her new movie, coming out it should be interesting to see if her acting rivals her musical talent or if her role in the new drama will flop as hard as Britney Spears in Crossroads.

After a successful start to Fox’s one-year-old Glee, fans anxiously anticipate its fall return. It appears that, for the most part, the talent will remain the same. However, when season two swings into high gear this September, glee club, New Directions, will stay true to its name as it undergoes a few changes.

In May, NBC announced the cancellation of the long-running Law and Order. After 20 seasons, Law and Order bit the dust, tying with Gunsmoke for the longest-running TV drama in history. Audience members who enjoyed the courtroom drama may continue to mourn, but those who prefer the adventure and action of catching the bad guys should celebrate the birth of Law and Order: Los Angeles, premiering this fall.

I’ve recently been sucked into the crime drama, Bones, and have grown attached to the lead, Emily Deschanel. Her ability to transform into the socially awkward Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan amazes me. Plus, the fact that she’s the older sister of the lovely Zooey Deschanel doesn’t hurt either so I was thrilled to hear that she’ll be starring in a new indie, drama/comedy The Perfect Family.
