The Oscar Award Winning Director of The Hurt Locker, a movie I believe is more than a little over-hyped, is back with another look inside the United States armed forces. This time around Kathryn Bigelow is bringing us the story, as it’s told to us by our very trustworthy government, of the assassination of Osama Bin Laden. The teaser for Zero Dark Thirty was underwhelming, but this full length trailer is more than telling that Bigelow will no doubt at least be in the Oscar conversation once again. One of my favorite things about this trailer is the emergence of Jessica Chastain’s role in the film. She really is on fire lately, appearing in The Tree of Life, The Debt, The Help, and Lawless to name a few. Zero Dark Thirty looks to be another prominent film to add to her sprawling and growing list of gems. The film also stars Mark Strong and Joel Edgerton from Warrior.

Zero Dark Thirty hits theaters December 19th, 2012.
