New Trailer For ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ Promises An Epic Adventure
ByPeter Jackson’s The Hobbit may not be coming out until mid December, but that’s no reason why you shouldn’t get excited for it now. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is the first in a new trilogy from The Lord Of The Rings world. The first trailer that was put online a few months ago didn’t give us a whole lot to go with. But for those of us who don’t want to attempt to read the J.R.R. Tolkien novel, we have the epic film to look forward to. Check out the new trailer below.
Here is the new trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey:
This second trailer promises what appears to be a very similar experience to the original Lord Of The Rings films. Epic, large, and possibly very long. Anyone who loves the LOTR trilogy will no doubt be head over heals for The Hobbit trilogy. With Peter Jackson’s very accurate and detailed vision for the series, it’s going to be a sure fire hit with the LOTR diehards.
I’m very curious how Peter Jackson and his crew are going to spread a book like The Hobbit into three films. The last Harry Potter book was split into two films and that was kind of a stretch. But to split a book into three films will be a challenge. I would assume that they are doing this so that no page will be left out from the book. The extended versions of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy had runtimes of 3 hours 50 minutes, 3 hours 40 minutes, and 4 hours 30 minutes. It’s pretty unreasonable with today’s moviegoer to expect them to sit for that long. So instead of making one film that would skip on some important plot points, why not make three and get everything in. Good plan.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will hit theaters on December 14th, 2012.
