‘300’ Prequel Renamed to ’300: Rise of an Empire’

The 300 prequel has been kicked around for quite awhile. First it started as a rumored Xerxes centered project and then moved to a prequel titled 300: The Battle of Artemisia. Now the prequel has been redubbed as 300: Rise of an Empire. Noam Murro is directing instead of Zach Snyder, but the 300 director and Kurt Johnstad wrote the script. Gerard Butler will not be back — sorry ladies. But Eva Green will be in the film, and that’s good for everyone.

300: Rise of an Empire hits theaters August 2, 2013.
