‘End of Watch’ Red Band Trailer is Not For The Faint of Heart

By

I posted the first trailer for this film when it dropped in the Spring because I thought it looked like it had some real potential to be a great film — this second Red Band trailer, with no holds barred, definitely heightens that feeling for yours truly. This film appears to be a gritty, ‘realistic’ (as real as a fictitious movie can really be) take on the problems facing police and law enforcement when butting heads with the resourceful and ruthless drug cartels. Hit the jump to see the hardcore take.

Check it, but beware, the Red Band trailer has unfiltered violence and language.

Looks like a brutally honest take to me. Of course it isn’t like an episode of COPS, and much will be fantasized, but End of Watch looks like it will give viewers plenty to chew on. I’m not the biggest cheerleader for either Jake Gyllenhaal or Michael Peña, but they seem to have a strong sense of brotherhood together — their partnership and close friendship should drive the film, because it surely stood out in these two trailers.

End of Watch crashes into theaters September 21, 2012.

What Did You Think Of This Unfiltered Tease?
