There is no doubt Jesse Eisenberg has been on a roll lately, from The Social Network to Zombieland and most recently 30 Minutes or Less. The man seems intent on challenging himself. All three previously mentioned movies have him playing very different roles, from a genius billionaire to a pot-smoking pizza delivery guy. His latest is Why Stop Now, which also stars Academy Award winner Melissa Leo and the almost always funny Tracy Morgan, seems like another interesting challenge for the young actor. One thing that is always difficult in a comedy/drama, a dramedy, is toeing the line between dramatic and funny. Finding the right moments to insert humor into tense and dramatic situations is something even some of the best filmmakers have failed to do. Why Stop Now involves some heavy dramatic material, drug addiction, but almost seems to take it lightly. We will have to wait until late Summer to find out if this film is the right mix.
