The Bourne Legacy is another sequel many skeptics never thought the world needed. I will always give a movie a chance, especially one with such talent within — and thankfully August 10th is nearing very quickly so I can decide whether or not the Bourne franchise deserved a fourth film. One thing that rang true to me while watching this short was how similar it felt to The Bourne Identity — secret agent on the run from government operatives, befriends an attractive woman to flee with. While I obviously am not calling this a carbon copy of the first film, because clearly there are differences, the similarities might cause this fourth chapter to feel tired or even might draw comparisons to the great Doug Liman flick. I am looking forward to this film, most of which because I love Edward Norton and Jeremy Renner, but I can’t seem to get over how familiar this all feels. Was this fourth film really necessary? We only have to wait a couple of weeks to find out.
