Neill Blomkamp became very famous very fast from his instant success with the film District 9 in 2010, which Barrett loved. Now we are getting our first look at Neil’s new film titled Elysium. The flick stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, William Fichtner and Sharlto Copley from District 9. The film is set in the year 2159 where the wealthy population lives on a man-made space station while the rest of humanity lives on a ruined, overpopulated Earth. The plot revolves around a man on a mission that could bring equality to the masses. Judging from this photo, I would say that Elysium will have the same vibe as District 9. The reason being that Damon is wearing some pretty gnarly hardware and he’s holding a sweet looking futuristic rifle, both of which look like they could have come from Blomkamp’s previously created universe. Elysium is set for a March 1st, 2013 release.

The next official still comes from the Princess Diana Biopic titled Caught In Flight. The film chronicles the last two years of the late Princess’s life, centering around her secret affair with her heart surgeon. Caught In Flight stars the stunning Naomi Watts and is being directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, whose brightest film came in 2004 with Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Foreign Language Film category. He also worked with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig in an alien epidemic film The Invasion. While this may the role of Naomi Watts career, Caught In Flight has no release date and has not been picked up for distribution.
