Channing Tatum’s Stock Continues to Rise and Now is in Talks To Play Evel Knievel

By

There might not be a hotter actor in Hollywood right now than Channing Tatum. And I truly mean “hotter” as in “he is very busy.” Since January of this year, the 32-year old has been the headliner for four major motion pictures, including The Vow which Mike thought was decent. But Channing isn’t done yet. We still have the sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation coming up. And now we’re getting word that he may be playing one of the most famous daredevils the world has ever known.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Channing Tatum is in talk to star in and produce an Evel Knievel biopic for Sony. On board to produce is the team of Mike DeLuca and Dana Brunetti, who just acquired the very highly contested Fifty Shades of Grey for Universal and Focus Features. This stuntman’s live should be an interesting one to watch. It could be a pretty solid movie considering the players involved in producing it all — but a lot will depend on who they get to direct it.

We’ll have more on this as it continues to develop.

Would You Want To See Tatum as Knievel?
