The MashCast, Episode 4: ‘I Just Wanna See Tom Hardy’

Aaaaand, wer’re back. We’ve taken a couple weeks off, but are now back in full force with the latest edition of The Movie Mash podcast, The MashCast. In this week’s episode, Matt, Mike and I chat about some of the films we’ve seen over the last copule weeks, including: Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, The Vow, This Means War and The Woman in Black. We also forecast our predicitons for the major categories of next week’s Academy Awards, specifically, who we think should win, and who we think will win for Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Picture.

First of all…give me Tom Hardy to look at and watch act over Channing any day WARRIOR way way way over “Fighter” or whatever that bad Channing movie was, Warrior is my new favorite movie. Secondly, glad I wasn’t crazy for liking This Means War! I would of given it a B – B- also Mike. It made me and my roommate laugh so much harder than we expected. We went to a free screening so I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not, but like you guys – I LOVE TOM HARDY!!!! Very anxious to see him as Bane, and I feel like he chose this selection of a movie to reach out to a different audience. Ladies are choosing Channing over someone like him because I feel like most don’t know who he is (but also, I think Chris Pine may be better looking than Channing and again can act better). I am a huge movie watcher and so are my two roommates so we do, but most other women I talk to don’t know who he is. Something like that will put him on the map. Pssssh he should of just been my little secret though, let those women miss out. I have yet to see The Vow, but my roommate said Channing was just AWFUL, she had a hard time getting through it he was so bad. Then her and I saw a screening of 21 Jump Street, and she said she could actually handle him in that, she found it funny when she expected it to be bad. I think it depends on what he does. I was expecting more of of him in Dear John and that whole movie was just an abomination, don’t get me started.

You guys need to start a countdown to Batman…or should I say BANE??? He is going to be crazy effing amazing! Oh and Mike, I noticed Tom’s little hunchy walk too, I am guessing it’s just how he walks.

Lastly, can I just say how flipping obscene it is that Tom Hardy is NOT nominated for Warrior? Ok, I better see some nods next year after Bane…hey, Heath WON!

I’m sure this episode appealed to you, being that we talked so much about Tom Hardy. And I think Chris Pine is better looking that Tatum, he doesn’t look like a moron. And I wish we could keep Hardy our secret, but it’s better than others get to experience his glory. And I still need to see 21 Jump Street, dangit.

And the countdown is actually a good idea….
