I would not usually consider myself one to be excited for a movie about Marilyn Monroe, but this initial trailer has me quite interested in seeing this film. The trailer boasts a wonderful cast lead by the gorgeous Michelle Williams, the seasoned vets Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh, Hermione Granger aka Emma Watson, and the up and comer Eddie Redmayne (The Good Shepard). Even hearing about the film early I was not really sold. But after seeing this first trailer, you can tell that Marilyn Monroe had ten carloads of baggage, and I’d like to know more.

I cannot wait to see a depiction of Marilyn’s life, because all I know about her is what I’ve scarcely heard and what I’ve seen in countless pictures — and that she dated Joe DiMaggio and was rumored to had an affair with JFK. I know a lot of women who are obsessed with her and have Monroe accessories or posters on their walls, but I’ve never actually tried to learn anything about her. Not saying I am going to read her biography or anything, but from this trailer I can tell she led a troubled life. I’m can’t wait to have a closer look at America’s first infamous starlet when My Week With Marilyn hits theaters next month.
