Sigh… Regretfully, Here is the First Trailer For ‘Breaking Dawn’
ByUpon us is the debut Breaking Dawn trailer for the first film in the two part Twilight series finale. Not gonna lie, I am so excited to see this movie I cannot even contain the excitement — expressing my feelings through words is almost impossible. Ok, yeah, I did just lie to you. I really don’t care about this trailer. But seeing this is a movie site, and Twilight is kind of a big deal in the female community, I figured I’d post it on the site for all our woman readers. In order to see this glorious trailer, you’re going to have to continue reading by hitting the jump.
So far, I haven’t hated any of the Twilight films.

None of them are terrible, and all have nuggets of greatness within them (mostly the soundtracks). But as a casual viewer I have never been able to get past the fact that the films usually only cater to the fanbase. While that is great, I have always found a nice balance between catering to the diehard and the casual viewer is best.
But the thing that bothers me most about these films is how little attention is really given to making them the best way resulting in a more polished final product. The studio is looking to capitalize on the profits brought in by getting each one of these films out ASAP — hence, the decision to make the final book into two films. Each Twilight film has come out a year apart, putting the filmmakers’ backs against the wall to push out a film by the prearranged release date. Quality cinema can rarely be created in such short time frames — especially when you consider the scale of these big budget films. But, like I said, these films are not created for the casual viewer or the outsider movie buff, they are created for the fans. All that most fans want to see is Jacob and Edward fight over Bella in a highly dramatized fashion.
Case in point is Bella and Edward winning Best Kiss at the MTV Awards every year, all three films winning won Best Movie (which is a frightening joke — better than Inception or The Social Network? Come on.), and the terrible acting of Pattinson and Stewart being rewarded as the Best Actor and Best Actress. I mean, come on, even if Twi-nerds don’t think this duo are terrible actors, their work isn’t award worthy. The teen girls cannot get enough of the couple, it’s all they care about — and Jacob with his shirt off. The quality doesn’t need to be there when most of a fanbase only cares about three actors within the film. Anyway, I’ll quit. Here is the much anticipated trailer that was revealed at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.
Breaking Dawn hits theaters November 18th.
