‘Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol’ Debut Trailer Hits the Web

Combine Tom Cruise, Brad Bird, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Simon Pegg, and Eminem, and what do you get? None of you would have guessed it if you didn’t see the title of the article and the banner above. Yes, of course I am referring to Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol being the sum of all those names listed. And honestly, I think the first trailer for this film is pretty sweet. All doubts I had about the movie up until this point have been dashed with this action-packed trailer. But you have to read on to see it.

Up to this point I have kept readers informed on what is going down for this film. It is my pleasure to take the next step in not simply talking about the production, but showing you a snippet of said production via Yahoo. Upon us is the initial trailer for Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol. It not only has a star-studded cast, but also has an intriguing story to boot. I’ll quit writing words, watch.

Pretty sweet right? The Eminem track mixed in with the iconic Mission: Impossible jingle really hit a nerve of excitement. The story is touched on in the trailer, but then is overpowered by all the quick cuts of action. Hopefully this does not mean the movie is going to rely on action to carry the film like some movies (Transformers: Dark of the Moon).

I’ve always thought Ethan Hunt was Tom Cruise’s best character — Jerry Maguire and Lt. Daniel Kaffee a close second — and I am excited to see Mr. Hunt thwart enemies yet again. Add the always awesome Jeremy Renner to the mix, and this movie is sure to be compelling with the dynamics between him and Cruise.

For those not paying attention, this will be Brad Bird‘s live-action debut. The director is known for his work on the animated Iron Giant and Pixar’s The Incredibles and Ratatouille. Consider this a big step for the director. From what I have seen in the trailer, his sense for live-action is on par to his brilliant vision in the animated world.
