Funny and Heartwarming Trailer For ‘50/50’

By

Do you like Joesph Gordon-Levitt? How about Seth Rogen? What about those two prolific actors together in a film as best friends struggling through a life-changing battle with cancer? If this tickles your fancy, hit the jump to check out the first trailer for the film. If it doesn’t, I still recommend you giving 50/50 a shot, because the trailer is well crafted.

This film obviously highlights a touchy subject — especially when you try to combine ‘funny’ with the topic of cancer. However, 50/50 has been test screened by some, and so far many of the reviews praise the film as just short of Oscar-worthy. I think the balance between funny and serious in a film is one of the most difficult to create, but it appears this film may have done just that.

Official Synopsis:

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Adam, a healthy young man with a nice life with girlfriend (Bryce Dallas Howard) who one day, on a routine check up, finds out he has a severe type of cancer. The news is a shock to his best friend (Seth Rogen), mother (Anjelica Huston) and of course, his girlfriend. He begins to go through chemotherapy, see a psychologist (Anna Kendrick) but Adam finds it impossible to process that this, could, be the end of his life.

The script was written by Will Reiser; the story centers around his very own battle with cancer. So his approach to this subject is obviously carefully thought out. Reiser produced the hit Da Ali G Show, so his humor in the film will also be apparent (the trailer also states this). 50/50 also stars two extremely gorgeous and talented women, Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard. Without further ado, don’t miss this excellent trailer for 50/50.

50/50 hits theaters September 30.

What Do You Think Of The Trailer? Pretty Sweet Right?

Really looking forward to this! The script seems strong as does Joseph Gordon-Levitt's acting.
