Matt’s Review: ‘Megamind’ is an Enjoyable 3D Experience

Squaring off against the comedic juggernaut (HA) Due Date, I have a feeling Megamind will have difficulties coming out on top of the box office this weekend. However, never underestimate a kids movie; this age group will pester their parents to take them to see the “blue man movie,” and “get me popcorn!” (Shut up already!) Whoops, sorry, I veered off topic remembering my childhood begging for treats before a movie. Anyway, while Megamind may not take the box office crown over Due Date, it definitely was the better of the two films. I am guessing it will be really hard for many readers to turn down the lust of Due Date to see Megamind instead. But if you are looking for my recommendation, I strongly suggest paying the admission price for Megamind. The film takes a rare look from the perspective of a villain. You will have a hard time not smiling for most of the movie as it is nothing but a fun-filled animated success. Check out the video review for my Megamind analysis.
