Teaser Trailer for ‘Cars’ Sequel

We all expected a tease for Cars 2 earlier then this Fall considering the sequel to the Pixar box office hit Cars debuts in theaters next summer. Traditionally, the new Pixar tease is attached to the Pixar film of the year; but anyone checking out Toy Story 3 this summer would know that was not the case. Finally, we have a nugget for Cars 2 that is not simply concept art. Check out the teaser for Cars 2 after the jump.

Check it out Pixar lovers…

As you can tell, not too much for content here and obviously no footage from the film itself. But as you can see, Mater and Lightning McQueen are at it again. In Cars 2, the duo travels the world together and experience the cars and customs from other countries. It should be interesting to check out the world from the perspective of the cars themselves coupled with the genius of the minds at Pixar. The world is a much bigger setting than Radiator Springs, the backdrop for most of the original.

Below I added some of that concept art I referred to earlier which features skylines from many famous cities around the world. Cars 2 is being co-directed by John Lasseter and Brad Lewis.

Expect the sequel in theaters June 24th, 2011.
