Casey Affleck’s Joaquin Phoenix Dockumentary, I’m Still Here, Gets a Poster
ByOh, man. I can’t wait for this. Most of you have probably followed or at least know about the surprising changes Joaquin Phoenix made in his life last year. The then-rising star, who earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for Walk The Line in 2006, had announced out of no where that he was throwing in the acting towel to pursue a career as a rapper. Oh, and he looked like a homeless meth-head. Then the rumors started to creep out that friend and colleague Casey Affleck, was filming Phoenix’ outrageous antics (most famously his disasterously uncomfortable interview on Letterman), for a dockumentary about Phoenix’ apparent slip into madness; basically, it’s all a hoax, or a mockumentary, if you will. Or is it? Well that mockumentary is now finished and Moviefone has the official poster for I’m Still Here, which you can check out after the break.
Check it out.
According to FirstShowing, I’m Still Here features Phoenix “snorting cocaine, ordering call girls, having oral sex with a publicist, treating his assistants abusively and rapping badly.” LOL! Jesus, that sounds so awesome! I mean, after seeing this poster, reading that description, and knowing about this real-life “psychotic breakdown,” how do you not want to immediately buy a ticket? I know I do. To wet your appetite, here’s that disasterously awkward Letterman interview for your cringing enjoyment.
I’m Still Here opens in limited (awwww) theaters September 10th.
