First Official Inception Still Image Released

Warner Bros. has released the first official still photo of Christopher Nolan’s Inception, via the Los Angeles Times. It features Leonardo DiCaprio walking down, what looks like a Japenese corridor, dressed in a swanky Armani suit, holding a hand gun with a VERY LARGE silencer attached. For those who saw the amazing second teaser-trailer, one could speculate that this new still image has a correlation to the scene where Leo is walking through a grimly-lit kitchen, attaching said silencer to said hand gun. Although in that scene he was wearing black leather gloves.

Last week we reported Nolan’s claim of Inception being “bigger than The Dark Knight;” not in the box-office sense, but rather in the creative ambition sense. The photo could also suggest that Nolan is upping the ante in violence with Inception, as the still and trailer feature a lot of heat packing. The photo is nothing that should drop anyone’s jaws or anything, but it’s a pretty damn cool first still image. Check out a bigger, higher-res version of the photo below.
