Tarantino’s ‘Basterds Prequel’ Put on the Back-Burner, For Now

By

Inglourious Basterds Prequel

Way back in May as Inglourious Basterds was premiering at Cannes Film Festival receiving mixed reviews, writer/director Quentin Tarantino was very forthcoming on the abundance of original source material that he had conjured up for a possible Basterds franchise; telling the New York Times:

“…Not to mention a shelved subplot about African-American soldiers stuck behind enemy lines. I have a half-written prequel ready to go if this movie’s a smash.”

What Do You Think? Discuss.

A basterds prequel huh? That could be tight.
On another note, like ya said, these blockbuster directors are quickly becoming the true muscle in hollywood today. I'm so excited for the next 5 years in movie making because simultaneously we have studios who are willing to take chances (WB) and directors who are willing to stick it to the studios. So let's thank the directors but at the same time applaud studios who take chances, especially in this rocky economy!
