Some Quick Tidbits: Another Inception Poster & Filmmakers React to Avatar

● Last week we revealed the first teaser poster for Christopher Nolan’s Inception. The poster was unveiled to fans who created their own mazes at YourMindistheSceneoftheCrime.com and were able to finish them. Today, a second poster was revealed when those who played the game were able to make it through a maze created by someone else. It features none of the actors who appear in the film, but does feature an bird’s-eye view of a huge city, and in the middle are buildings that spell out the title of the film. Other blogs have been skeptical today regarding the legitimacy of this second poster because there is not a high-resolution version of the image. But because it was revealed via Warner Bros.’ viral websites, it has to be legit. The good people over at NolanFans.com have a theory on how the Inception viral campaign will continue with Mind Crime. On the Mind Crime site their are four boxes displayed, the very left which contains the spinning top. That box is the only one highlighted or activated. They contend that the Inception viral marketing campaign will include the rest of these boxes some how, with the likelihood of either more games like this one or something else to come. Only three more days until the second trailer for Inception hits theaters in front of Sherlock Holmes, as well as online, most likely via Mind Crime. Check out the image of the four boxes below.

● Now that Avatar has taken over the world, critics and fans have all chimed in on how epic this film is. One particular group of people who have seen the film have also chimed in with their thoughts: other directors and filmmakers. I think it’s safe to say that Avatar will change a lot of the ways movies are made and how directors approach their visions, so it’s very intriguing to gauge the reactions of those who might be influenced by James Cameron’s epic. Needless to say, I think Cameron has made quite an impression among his peers, colleagues and competition. One director that has not seen Avatar yet, who’s reaction I am most interested in, is one, George Lucas.
