Jessica Alba Takes Another Crack At Comedy With ‘Little Fockers’

By

Jessica Alba Little Fockers

Now I love Jessica Alba. She’s a fine actress, gorgeous and is a seemingly sweet and genuine person. Unfortunately, she has not made the best role choices throughout her career, resulting in some pretty terrible movies that have her name forever stamped on them. Fantastic Four 1 & 2, Honey, Into the Blue, Awake, and I haven’t even gotten to the comedies. Good Luck Chuck and The Love Guru were both absolutely awful, but it’s not Jessica’s fault. They both had high-profile male leads; Dane Cook and Mike Myers, so you’d think there should be some automatic success, right?.

The scripts were just atrocious and the over all production of each film was terribly executed. So it’s fair to say that Alba has not made good choices. But now it looks like Mrs. Alba will finally be able to act in a comedy with guaranteed quality in Little Fockers. Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers make up the highest-grossing comedy franchise in movie history, taking in just under $1 billion worldwide between the two films. And that’s only TWO films! Little Fockers is written by John Hamburg, who wrote the first two films as well as a few comedies you may be fans of: Zoolander, Along Came Polly and I, Love You Man. Yeah, this guy knows original, innovative and quality comedy. So good for Alba by seeking out a project whose writer has an outstanding track record.

According to Variety, Alba plays “an attractive pharmaceutical rep whose looks wreak havoc on male characters in the story,” and apparently this is a key role alongside the film’s stars like Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro. Sounds good to me. And even though we’ve seen a total 3 hours of Ben Stiller squirming through awkward and uncomfortable situations, it’s still hilarious and I’m very much looking forward to Little Fockers, which should hit theaters either towards the end of 2010 or the summer of 2011.

I am excited for Little Fockers! the first two were great and i think this one has potential to be really good especially with the addition of Jessica Alba. Now, you are right, the movies she has done are not the best but i think she made the right choice with this movie, as you said. John Hamburg's latest movie, I Love You, Man is a great movie that i can watch anytime so i have high hopes that this will be good.
