First Glance: A Bloody Megan Fox & Eminem In Funny People
By
After battling massive transforming alien-robots for the past four years, Megan Fox decided to go a different route for her next movie. And it seems as though she wanted to get down and dirty, or should I say, down and BLOODY?! Fox’ next upcoming movie is called Jennifer’s Body. The film is described as a Heathers-like dark comedy, which tells the story of a seemingly-perfect cheerleader whose life is thrown into disarray when she gets possessed by a demon, begins eating boys in her small town, then faces off against her best friend and the Satan-worshiping band that made her evil.
Wow! That sounds pretty sweet! At last year’s Comic-Con, the first teaser poster for the film was revealed. It has literally been a year since anything else from this movie has been shown. Earlier this week, Empire magazine revealed an exclusive first glance at Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried (Mean Girls, Mamma Mia) all bloody, disgusting and weirdly hot at the same time. The film is written by MINNESOTA-native, Oscar-winning screenwriter and scribe of the hit dramedy Juno, Diablo Cody. So you know this movie is going to have some pioneering teen slang. Check out the first photos from Jennifer’s Body, opening September 18th, via Film School Rejects & FirstShowing:

As I said before…bloody, disgusting, but oddly hot?

The next first glance should peak your interest if your a Judd Apatow fan, but more if your an Eminem fan (I’m more of the latter). A couple weeks ago, in the Some Quick Tidbits segment here on The Movie Mash, I discussed Slim Shady’s secretive cameo in Judd Apatow’s upcoming dramedy extravaganza, Funny People. Not much about the cameo has been revealed, until now. MTVMoviesBlog has the first exclusive photo of Eminem sitting with Adam Sandler in a Hollywood restaurant.

Funny People stars of course Adam Sandler as George Simmons, a successful comedian and actor who learns that he has a terminal, inoperable health condition, and his desire to form a genuine friendship causes him to take a relatively green performer under his wing as his opening act. As this film deals with Hollywood and contains several other fcameos, one could infer that Eminem’s role in the film would be one of Simmons’ many famous friends who provide him with some sage wisdom as he’s trying to figure out how to deal with this terminal disease.
Apatow spoke with MTV about working with Slim, saying:
“I was scared to pitch jokes to him then I realized his songs are as nasty as anything that has ever been spoken. There is no way to offend him.”
Good to have you back Slim. Can’t wait for Funny People, opening everywhere July 31st. And no Bruno jokes, please.
