Sweet Vids: 100 Best Movie Lines & Fan-Made Green Lantern Trailer

I wanted to get to these last week, but I didn’t have enough time. They’re pretty sweet,  so I wanted to share them with you. The first comes from a local movie theater I follow on Twitter called MANN Theatres. They have locations all over Minnesota and they’ve been very kind to The Movie Mash by re-tweeting the articles that I post. Definitely check them out and go see some flicks in their theaters. Anyway, they re-tweeted a video for any movie fanatic out there and it comes from the website TodaysBigThing, which is a website that posts a slew of videos each day ranging from entertainment to sports. Last week they debuted a video featuring a compiled montage of the 100 Best Movie Lines in 200 Seconds, put together by LiquidGeneration.

It’s a pretty epic list of some of the best lines in the history of cinema. Although #99 kind of pissed me off because there is a much better portrayal of that role that recently occurred, featuring much more epic lines that should have been included. Next up we have an awesome fan-made trailer for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. I posted an article several weeks ago about the rumors claiming  Bradley Cooper was the “front-runner” to play Hal Jordan. That has not since been elaborated upon, but to wet our anticipation appetites, a Green Lantern fan made a pretty epic fake trailer for what he thinks a Green Lantern movie could/should look like. Jaronpitts from YouTube edited existing footage from various Sci-Fi films to make the trailer. His choice for Hal Jordan??  Nathan Fillion from Joss Whedon’s Firefly series, Serenity and can currently bee seen on ABC’s Castle. I had not ever considered him for this role, but he actually seems like a pretty good choice after watching this trailer. So, without further ado, mic check this this fan-made trailer for Green Lantern and see if he’d be the right guy for the job.

SlashFilm posted this last week and had a breakdown of all the different movies featured in various clips and sequences in this brilliantly edited fan trailer.

HOLY CRAP the guy who made this know his Sci-Fi/Fantasy. If the the actual Green Lantern flick comes close to this type of vibe and ambience, I will be very pleased.
