FOOTAGE GALORE! New “Inglorious Basterds” Footage, Plus Intense Trailer For “The Hurt Locker”
By“Because we LOVE…MAKING…MOVIES!!!”
I posted some news a couple weeks about new photos from Quentin Tarantino’s anticipated new World War II epic, Inglorious Basterds. As I briefly stated in my former piece, Shrek & Austin Powers himself, Mike Myers, has a significant role in the film. Meyers plays Gen. Ed Frenech, who seems to be a member of the British army that helps out the American Basterds. This is the first non-comedy that Meyers has been in since he portrayed club kingpin Steve Rubell in 54 way back in 1998. It’s a little hard to take him seriously, especially with the British accent that he’s used for comedic purposes so many times, but Tarantino definitely has something up his sleeve. Mic check this behind-the-scenes featurette below.
Next up we have the Iraq war film The Hurt Locker, which has some serious buzz surrounding it with some very solid intial reviews. In the film Jeremy Renner is the leader of an elite Army bomb squad unit that must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb. And whats interesting is that it is being described as an action film and not an Iraq war film, which is very interesting and awesome. Finally we can have a badass action film take place in Baghdad without all the political baggage. Looks very intense. Mic check the official second trailer below.
